I am a first-generation medical graduate born and raised in Rome, Italy. I received my MD degree from the University of Rome “La Sapienza”, in 2022. I am currently working as a Postdoctoral Associate in Transplant Surgery at Duke University. My fields of interest are abdominal organ transplant and metabolic surgery, with a focus on minimally invasive and robotic approach. I am a sports enthusiast.

I was born and raised in Trani and I graduated in Medicine from University of Bari "Aldo Moro", Italy. At the end of 2020 I moved to the United States where I am currently working as a Research Fellow in Cardiac Surgery at Weill Cornell Medical Center in New York.

Arnaldo Dimagli, MD

I was born and raised in a small town in the sunny Puglia. I received my MD from the University of Eastern Piedmont. After my graduation, I moved to the UK to pursue a fellowship in Cardiac Surgery. I am currently a post-doctoral research fellow in the Department of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery at the Cleveland Clinic, Ohio. My research is focused on clinical outcomes after cardiac surgery, and biostatistics applied to medical research.
Samuele Cannas, MD MS MM

I was born and raised in a small village near Cagliari in Sardinia, Italy. I received my MD degree from the University of Pisa in 2021, where I simultaneously pursued the degrees in Biotechnologies, Engineering and Molecular Biotechnologies. I am currently a Surgical Research Associate in HPB Surgery at the Perelman School of Medicine of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. My main field of interest is minimally invasive and robotic HPB surgery, with a focus on AI systems. I am also a pianist.

Born and raised under the influence of Italian, Austrian and Slovenian cultures in Gorizia, Italy. I graduated in Medicine at the University of Udine in 2020, where I started doing research in liver and kidney transplantation. I am currently active as Postdoctoral Fellow in Surgical Oncology at Harvard Medical School - Massachusetts General Hospital. My fields of interest are clinical and translational research in HPB surgery, pancreatic cancer and cancer immunology. As for the future, I would like to join the general surgery residency program.

I am a first-generation medical graduate born and raised in Alessandria, a lovely city near Turin, Italy. After graduating from University of Pavia School of Medicine (Italy) I started the residency in General Surgery at Humanitas Research Hospital IRCCS (Milan, Italy). During research time, as part of my residency program, I joined the Department of Surgery at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School in 2021 and I’m currently a Postdoctoral Research Fellow. My main field of interest is pancreatic and hepato-biliary surgery and the focus of my research is the development and application of new immunotherapeutic strategies against hepato-biliary-pancreatic malignancies.

Sono nato e cresciuto in Italia, sulla sponda Piemontese del Lago Maggiore. Dopo essermi laureato in Medicina e Chirurgia (2020) ed aver conseguito un Master in Biostatistica (2021) in Italia, mi sono trasferito alla Yale University per guidare il Cardiac Surgery Clinical Outcomes Research Group come postdoctoral associate (2021-2022) e research faculty (2022-2023). Da giugno 2023 sono resident nel percorso integrato di chirurgia cardio-toracica presso la Yale University.
